Friday February 12, 2010 thought for the day

NOT MORE SNOW!!!
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Jesus died on a cross so the whole world could see that his arms were stretched out for all-
2-There is no surprise more magical than the surprise of being loved-
3-A father is a man who expects his son to be as good a man as he meant to be-
4-Nothing makes a person more productive than the last minute-
5-Home is where the heart's tears can dry at their own pace-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Freezer bags are male because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them-
I'VE LEARNED-Be generous to those who need your help, be frugal with what you need yourself-
DID YOU KNOW-Ronald Reagan was the only president to be the head of a labor union-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Who were the Publicans, Sadduces and Pharisees?
2-Is a tithe too much for God to expect of us today in this economy?
3-Did the Sadduces and Pharisees have different religious beliefs?
4-Were the Pharisees really good religious Jews who had become legalistic in trying to obey their Jewish laws?
5-If the Pharisees were not of large numbers (or were they), how did they hold so much influence over the people?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What king of Moab was famous as a sheep farmer?
Yesterday's answer-Ahaziah (2 Kings 1:2)
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALM 135:8-14
8 He destroyed the firstborn sons in Egypt, the firstborn of both people and animals.
9 He did many signs and miracles in Egypt against the king and his servants.
10 He defeated many nations and killed powerful kings:
11 Sihoin king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kings of Canaan.
12 Then he gave their land as a gift, a gift to his people, the Israelites.
13 Lord, your name is everlasting; Lord, you will be remembered forever.
14 The Lord defends his people and has mercy on his servants.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
