Sunday February 14, 2010 thought for the day

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Across the fields of yesterday he sometimes comes to me
A little lad just back from play , the lad I used to be
And he smiles so wistfully once he has credit within
I wonder if he hopes to see the man I might have been!
2-Never trouble trouble till trouble troubles you
3-The course of nature is the art of God-
4-Ability is nothing without opportunity-
5-Prolonged idleness paralyses initiative-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired-
I'VE LEARNED-Women wish to be loved, not because they are pretty, good, graceful, or
Intelligent but because they are themselves-
DID YOU KNOW-A group of finches is called a charm-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Should Christians sell what they have and give it to the poor as the rich young ruler was instructed to do?
2-Why did the rich young ruler need to sell all he owned and give it to the poor?
3-How badly did the rich young ruler want eternal life?
4-How much of our wealth should we use for ourselves?
5-Why were the disciples surprised to hear Jesus say it was difficult for a rich man to get into heaven?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What king had the prophet Uriah murdered for opposing him?
Yesterday's answer-The king of Edom (Numbers 20:14-20)
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY 136:1-9
1 Give thanks to the Lord because he is good. His love continues forever.
2 Give thanks to the God of gods. His love continues forever.
3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords. His love continues forever.
4 Only he can do great miracles. His love continues forever.
5 With his wisdom he made the skies. His love continues forever.
6 He spread out the earth on the seas. His love continues forever.
7 He made the sun and the moon. His love continues forever.
8 He made the sun to rule the day. His love continues forever.
9 He made the moon and stars to rule the night. His love continues forever.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
