Friday February 26, 2010 thought for the day

FRIENDS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Fear is the thief of peace-
2-Don't fear what has not yet happened-
3-You can't change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust your sails to always reach your destination-
4-Friends are relatives you make for yourself-
5-Start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible-
STRANGE THOUGHT-The advantage of a bad memory is that you enjoy, several times, the same good things for the first time-
I'VE LEARNED-Look for opportunities, not guarantees-
DID YOU KNOW-Alexander the Great was an epileptic. He was tutored by Aristotle-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why are the stories in the different gospels often slightly different?
2-Why was the arrest and trial of Jesus done during the night time before dawn?
3-Is there any significance in the value of or number of 30 pieces of silver?
4-Since no one was with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemene how do we know he actually prayed the words recorded in the gospels?
5-When Judas threw the 30 coins back at the high priest, why did they use it to buy a field from the potter?
BIBLE TRIVIA-When God came to the young Solomon in a dream and asked him what he desired, what did Solomon ask for?
Yesterday's answer-A cake of barley bread (Judges 7:13)
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY- PSALM 140:9-13
9 Those around me have planned trouble. Now let it come to them.
10 Let burning coals fall on them. Throw them into the fire or into pits from which they cannot escape.
11 Don't let liars settle in the land. Let evil quickly hunt down cruel people.
12 I know the Lord will get justice for the poor and will defend the needy in court.
13 Good people will praise his name; honest people will live in his presence.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
