Monday February15, 2010 thought for the day

FRIENDS
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-The real character of a man is revealed by what amuses him-
2-The more you do, the more you can do-
3-He who stops being better stops being good-
4-Prosperity is not without many fears and concerns and adversity is not without many comforts and hopes-
5-People generally quarrel because they cannot argue-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Adversity makes people, prosperity makes monsters-
I'VE LEARNED-Be willing to share your joys, be willing to share the sorrows of others-
DID YOU KNOW-Robert Kennedy was killed in the Ambassador Hotel, the same hotel that housed Marilyn Monroe's first modeling agency-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why do we as Christians strive so much for wealth and things?
2-Are riches God's reward for a good life?
3-What is the meaning of wealth to a Christian?
4-Was blindness a major health problem in Jesus' day?
5-What did Jesus mean when he said it was easier for a camel to go through a needles eye than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who became king of Syria after he smothered King Ben-Hadad with a wet cloth?
Yesterday's answer-Jehoiakim (Jeremiah 26:14-20)
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALM 136:10-15
10 He killed the firstborn sons of the Egyptians. His love continues forever.
11 He brought the people of Israel out of Egypt. His love continues forever.
12 He did it with his great power and strength. His love continues forever.
13 He parted the water of the Red Sea. His love continues forever.
14 He brought the Israelites through the middle of it. His love continues forever.
15 But the king of Egypt and his army drowned in the Red Sea. His love continues forever.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
