Wednesday February 3, 2010 thought for the day

HOLDING ON TIGHT
HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-If the father is the head of the family, the mother is the heart of the home-
2-Where the spirit of God leads, the grace of God provides-
3-As goes the Sabbath, so goes Christianity-
4-Impatience is rebelling against waiting for God's will-
5-Separation is not isolation--"Ye are in the world but not of the world"
STRANGE THOUGHT-It takes courage to really love-
I'VE LEARNED-Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now-
DID YOU KNOW-President Richard Nixon left instructions for "California, here I come" to be the last piece of music played (slowly and softly) were he to die in office-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Is there a better name for followers of Jesus than Christian?
2-Do not all Christian denominations have a major point of emphasis which is their primary purpose for being?
3-Is it possible to have too much churchiness?
4-Are we often guilty for substituting church attendance for Christian living?
5-In the parable of the 10 virgins, would the bridegroom have criticized the 5 virgins with oil if they had shared with the 5 who did not?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What king led Israel into sin by allowing his evil wife to introduce Baal worship into the country?
Yesterday's' answer-Tirhakah (2 Kings 19:9)
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY PSALM 128
1 Happy are those who respect the Lord and obey him.
2 You will enjoy what you work for, and you will be blessed with good things.
3 Your wife will give you many children like a vine that produces much fruit.
4 This is how the man who respects the Lord will be blessed.
5 May the Lord bless you from Mount Zion; may you enjoy the good things of Jerusalem all your life.
6 May you see your grandchildren. Let there be peace in Israel.
I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-JASPER
