Monday March 13, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Wisdom is a divine endowment and not a human acquisition-
2-Let the words I speak today be soft and tender for tomorrow I may have to et them-
3-To get rid of an enemy you musty love him-
4-People will forget how fast you did a job but will remember how well you did it-
5-The secret to success-"In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path"-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Fear is the dark room where negatives are developed-
I'VE LEARNED-A beautiful sunny day and a dark stormy day cannot occur in the same place at the same time-
DID YOU KNOW-It has been calculated that in the last 3,500 years, there have been only 230 years of peace throughout the civilized world-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW-
1-Where was Jesus' body prepared for burial?
2-When John and Peter saw the empty tomb, would the folded linens have smelled of the spices used in Jesus' burial?
3-Would the preparation of Jesus for burial have been the same as anyone who died at that time?
4-How did the Apostle Paul support himself in all his traveling?
5-Did the Apostle Paul have family who were left behind (at home) during all his traveling?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What beautiful woman of Israel was married to a Hittite warrior?
Yesterday's answer-Bethany John 11:1
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Jesus Begins Work in Galilee
12 When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he went back to Galilee.13 He left Nazareth and went to live in Capernaum, a town near Lake Galilee, in the area near Zebulun and Naphtali.14 Jesus did this to bring about what the prophet Isaiah had said:
15 "Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali
Along the sea,
Beyond the Jordan River.
This is Galilee where the non-Jewish people live.
16 These people who live in darkness
Will see a great light.
They live in a place covered with the shadows of death,
But a light will shine on them." — Isaiah 9:1–2
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying manFather, we read throughout the period of the Judges that the people of Israel endured great heartache and spiritual defeat because each one became his own authority and acted on his own opinions of what was right and wrong. They did not look to You as the final authority; they disregarded Your holy laws and chose to do that which was right in their own eyes. We see this prevailing attitude in our own day. But as believers we acknowledge that our judgment is flawed and our motives are selfish when we do not submit our will to a holy God who knows what is best for His children. We want to obey Your laws and surrender our will as we seek to do what is good and right in Your eyes. This will result in our hearts being strengthened and our lives being blessed as we walk in the ways of Christ in whose name we pray. Amen.

GREATLY BLESSED, HIGHLY FAVORED, IMPERFECT BUT FORGIVEN CHILD OF GOD!!!
