Saturday March 10, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-Don't let any kindness go unappreciated-
2-When someone does you wrong, don't do what comes naturally, do what comes supernaturally--love them-
3-It is easier to leave angry words unspoken than to mend a heart those words have broken-
4-Keep your face toward the sunshine and you cannot see your shadow-
5-No one is so self sufficient that they do not need God-
STRANGE THOUGHT-Trust is like an eraser, it gets smaller after every mistake-
I'VE LEARNED-Nothing can be done without hope and confidence-
DID YOU KNOW-In the wedding ceremony of the ancient Inca Indians of Peru, the couple was considered officially wed when they took off their sandals and handed them to each other-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Jesus every tell a joke?
2-When did humans learn to wash themselves with water?
3-After the demonic man was delivered by Jesus what did he do for a living?
4-After Jairus' daughter was raised from the dead by Jesus, did she ever regret it or fear death the second time?
5-Did the innkeeper ever learn who he turned away and sent to the stable?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What woman's absence made the Israelites pause in their journey to the promised land?
Yesterday's answer-Mary Magdalene John 20:14
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Galatians 5:16-18
16 So I tell you: Live by following the Spirit. Then you will not do what your sinful selves want.17 Our sinful selves want what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is against our sinful selves. The two are against each other, so you cannot do just what you please.18 But if the Spirit is leading you, you are not under the law.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Praying man Father, it is the desire of every earnest believer to remain faithful to You. The world often uses the expression, “Be true to yourself” intending that people stand up for what they believe in, but those of the world, by and large, stand for causes and beliefs that often conflict with the holy Word of God. We are also subject to error and our emotions cannot be trusted, so with absolute resolve we choose to be true to You, rather than self. Once we put our hands to the plow we choose to cultivate Christian values and Biblical principles. We fix our gaze on Jesus so that we don’t lose our way. We join with others of the Christian faith who hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, even as we spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Amen.

LAUGHTER IS GOOD EXERCISE, IT IS LIKE JOGGING ON THE INSIDE!
