Thursday March 8, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-We make our choices and then our choices make us-
2-Pray for a good harvest but keep on cultivating-
3-A Christian does not own his wealth, he owes it-
4-Study the Bible to be wise, believe it to be secure, practice it to be holy-
5-A Christ centered life is like a good watch, open faced, busy hands, pure gold and full of good works-
A STRANGE THOUGHT-If at first you don't succeed you are just about average-
I'VE LEARNED-If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow-
DID YOU KNOW-Any Russian man who wore a beard was required to pay a special tax during the time of Peter the Great-
5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What is the "Ge'ez" Bible?
2-When was the beginning of the Jewish religion in Ethiopia?
3-What are the books in the Ethiopian Bible that no other tradition accepts?
4-Why does God appear to bless evil people?
5-Can you have love without forgiveness?
BIBLE TRIVIA-What Christian woman was noted for helping the poor in the early church?
Yesterday's answer - Pilate's wife Matthew 27:19
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY Galatians 5:7-10
7 You were running a good race. Who stopped you from following the true way?8 This change did not come from the One who chose you.9 Be careful! "Just a little yeast makes the whole batch of dough rise."10 But I trust in the Lord that you will not believe those different ideas. Whoever is confusing you with such ideas will be punished.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, whet our appetite for spiritual food that brings sustenance, growth and experience as we partake of the Bread of Life. May our hearts hunger for the wonderful promises, provisions, and principles revealed throughout Your Holy Scripture. As we regularly feast on these nourishing nuggets we become mature and strengthened so that we can trust You in times of famine. Keep us tasting and keep us trusting. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

MAY YOU ALWAYS HAVE LOVE TO SHARE, HEALTH TO SPARE AND FRIENDS THAT CARE!
