Sunday Mach 4, 2012 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR TODAY
1-It is hard to see today when you are looking at tomorrow-
2-You cannot shine if you have not taken the time to fill your lamp-
3-To stay young in spirit keep taking on new thoughts and throwing off old habits-
4-The real measure of a person's wealth is what they have invested in eternity-
5-Don't let your prayers sound as if you are using a phone without a receiver-
STRANGE THOUGHT-It is not what a teen knows that concerns a parent, rather it is how and from where they found out-
I'VE LEARNED-If you don't go after what you want, you will never have it-
DID YOU KNOW-Banks first used scotch tape to mend torn currency during the Depression-
5 THING I WANT TO KNOW
1-Why was there and is there so much disagreement as to the value of the Apocrypha Books being "canon" material?
2-In the early church the four Gospels often were not read as separate books but in harmonized form. Why?
3-What caused the necessity to determine what was legitimate Christian scripture?
4-On what basis were the Bible's books chosen to be included in canonized scripture?
5-What was the writing "The Shepherd of Hermas" that was accepted by many early Christian churches as part of the New Testament and then later discarded?
BIBLE TRIVIA-Who anointed Jesus' feet with precious ointment?
Yesterday's answer-Anna Luke 2:36-37
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY-Galatians 4:21-23
21 Some of you still want to be under the law. Tell me, do you know what the law says?22 The Scriptures say that Abraham had two sons. The mother of one son was a slave woman, and the mother of the other son was a free woman.23 Abraham's son from the slave woman was born in the normal human way. But the son from the free woman was born because of the promise God made to Abraham.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, we pray that with unveiled faces we will reflect Jesus’ glory as we are being transformed into Your likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord Jesus. May we not be lacking in zeal but keep our spiritual fervor as we serve You. Keep us joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer as we share with God’s people who are in need and the world that is even needier as they lack a relationship with You. Amen.

WISHING YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART.....PEACE IN YOUR SOUL.....AND JOY IN YOUR LIFE.....ALWAYS!!!
