Friday December 4, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Live in such a way that there will be no regrets when someone else follows in your footsteps-
2-God will heal your broken heart if you give him all the pieces-
3-Don't worry about tomorrow, God is already there-
4-Whatever God asks you to lift, he gives you the grace to carry-
5-Whatever God asks you to carry, he gives you the strength to lift-

STRANGE THOUGHT-If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there would be a shortage of fishing poles-

I'VE LEARNED-It is not your job to get people to like you, it is your job to like people-

DID YOU KNOW-Too much caffeine can cause heart palpitations-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Do the blessings of God ever complicate your life?
2-When we pray, should we also count the cost of that answered prayer?
3-What is meant to "pray earnestly"?
4-If you are going to get out of your boat in the middle of the night in the middle of the lake, you better make sure Jesus has said to you "come".  But if Jesus said "come" you'd better not stay in your boat-
5-Do we still trust that God loves us even when he doesn't give us what we prayed for?

BIBLE TRIVIA-This new testament passage is from what old testament book-"They shall bear thee up, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone"?  Luke 4:11
Answer for today     Psalm 91:12

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY       Luke 17:7-10
“Suppose one of you has a servant who has been plowing the ground or caring for the sheep. When the servant comes in from working in the field, would you say, ‘Come in and sit down to eat’? No, you would say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat. Then get yourself ready and serve me. After I finish eating and drinking, you can eat.’ The servant does not get any special thanks for doing what his master commanded. 10 It is the same with you. When you have done everything you are told to do, you should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done the work we should do.’”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying manFather of all wisdom, we who are children of the light, do not live as those in darkness. Instead You have shown us right from wrong, truth from error, and You have given us discernment to test the spirits to see that which is from You and that which is from the evil one. The foundations seem to be shaking as we are flooded with a tidal wave of twists and spins that seeks to confuse or demean the believer. We clothe ourselves daily with godly armor, both defensive and offensive weaponry since our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but rather the authorities from this world. Keep our souls untainted by the changing rhetoric and sliding standards from our decadent society as we stand against the spiritual forces of evil like the men of Issachar. Help us to walk boldly in the conviction power of the Holy Spirit today, we pray in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

-SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE, BELIEVE AND LOVE, OVER AND OVER AGAIN-
