Sunday December 20, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-If you don't deal with your failures, your failures will make fun of your successes-
2-People need to be most loved when they deserve it the least-
3-While pain is unavoidable misery is optional-
4-If God sends you a storm, he will also navigate your vessel-
5-The place to find what you lost is where you left it-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Calories are tiny creatures that live inside your closet and sew your clothes a little bit tighter every night-

I'VE LEARNED-Cherubim are an order of powerful angelic beings created to glorify God-

DID YOU KNOW-Less than 3 percent of Nestle's sales are for chocolate-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-What are "the things of the world"?
2-Can a christian have both the things of God and the things of the world-
3-The early Christians lived under a completely different set of principles and values than the rest of the people.  Is it still true today?
4-Why are Christians today often accused of being money hungry and hyper critical in their Christian living?
5-At no other time in the history of Christianity did love so characterize the church as it did in the first century.  How is it characterized today?

BIBLE TRIVIA-This new testament passage comes from what old testament book-"And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams"?      Acts 2:17
Answer for today    Joel 2:28

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Luke 18:35-39
35 As Jesus came near the city of Jericho, a blind man was sitting beside the road, begging. 36 When he heard the people coming down the road, he asked, “What is happening?”
37 They told him, “Jesus, from Nazareth, is going by.”
38 The blind man cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
39 The people leading the group warned the blind man to be quiet. But the blind man shouted even more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying manJesus, we want others to view the message of reconciliation as it is lived out in our lives and in our daily conversation. Because You reconciled us to the Father through Your sacrificial death on the cross we want to see others experience this wondrous reconciliation when we were snatched from the evil one and transported into the Kingdom of God. What great joy it is to share this message with others, see them respond to Your Spirit, and take them alongside us in this journey of grace.  Keep us faithful in proclaiming the Good News. Amen.

I WISH YOU LOVE IN YOUR HEART-PEACE IN YOUR SOUL- JOY IN YOUR LIFE-ALWAYS-
