Tuesday December 22, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-God often lets us experience our need before coming to our rescue-
2-Failure is an event not a person-
3-Yesterday ended with last night-
4-Yesterday's sins should not keep us from doing what God wants us to do today-
5-Don't be enslaved by something you have outgrown-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Ever notice how ignorance picks up confidence as it goes along-

I'VE LEARNED-The trouble you face today is training you to be strong for the more difficult situations you will face in the future-

DID YOU KNOW-During your lifetime, you will eat sixty thousand pounds of food-the weight of six elephants-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Did Mary ride a donkey to Bethlehem or did she really have to walk?
2-Can you be a christian without being a disciple?
3-Is pleasure all by itself a sign of God's approval or blessing?
4-Prior to building the ark, what kind of work did Noah do for a living?
5-When we are going through a storm in our life did Jesus promise to deliver us or to go through it with us?

BIBLE TRIVIA-This new testament passage is from what old testament book-"I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved"   Acts 2:25
Answer for today     Psalm16:8

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY     Luke 19:1-5
19 Jesus was going through the city of Jericho. A man was there named Zacchaeus, who was a very important tax collector, and he was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but he was not able because he was too short to see above the crowd. He ran ahead to a place where Jesus would come, and he climbed a sycamore tree so he could see him. When Jesus came to that place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down! I must stay at your house today.

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we praise You and give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy and most especially the freedom to worship You. But we know that there are many regions in our world where Christians are persecuted and suffer martyrdom at the hands of those who are enemies of the cross.  We lift them up to You in prayer and ask that You will give them supernatural strength and unyielding resolve to stand up for You in the face of evil surroundings and conduct themselves in a manner worthy of the gospel.  May they not return evil for evil, but rather good for evil.  Though wicked men may destroy the flesh, they cannot rob the soul of inner peace and the uncompromising determination to “stand firm unto the end.” Sustain those who have endured the painful loss of loved ones as well as those whose family members are being held captive and are presently enduring persecution.  May You be glorified in the midst of these horribly adverse circumstances and may souls be saved for the kingdom.  In the name of Jesus we pray.  Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-
