HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

1-Do not be afraid of silence for in it you can find God-

2-Write your sorrows in sand and your blessings in stone-

3-In the garden of your life leave room for angels to dance-

4-In order to feel the worth of the anchor we need to feel the strength of the storm-

5-Fear not, pray on-

 

STRANGE THOUGHT-A recent government study found that women who carry a little extra weight, live longer than men who mention it-

 

I'VE LEARNED-If you know you are going to lose, do it with style-

 

DID YOU KNOW-A chili pepper isn't a pepper.  In fact, more than two hundred kinds of Chile peppers aren't peppers-

 

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW

1-Could any of the early church's theology have been wrong?

2-How much confidence should you put in a new testament manuscript that differs from others yet is produced 1500 years after the apostle lived?

3-Why do so many Christian churches chose doctrines that are so different from those of the early church?

4-Is it reasonable to say that Christianity today is unchanged from the time of the apostles?

5-Who could best interpret the apostles writings, the early Christians or theologians today?

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY       Luke 17:14-19

¹⁴ When Jesus saw the men, he said, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.”^[a]

As the ten men were going, they were healed. ¹⁵ When one of them saw that he was healed, he went back to Jesus, praising God in a loud voice. ¹⁶ Then he bowed down at Jesus’ feet and thanked him. (And this man was a Samaritan.) ¹⁷ Jesus said, “Weren’t ten men healed? Where are the other nine? ¹⁸ Is this Samaritan the only one who came back to thank God?” ¹⁹ Then Jesus said to him, “Stand up and go on your way. You were healed because you believed.”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY

 

Daily prayer: Father, You have called upon us to be sober and vigilant believers who are instant in season and out of season. We’re ready to spring into action to do Your bidding when we might least expect to be called upon. May the fruit of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, be evident in our attitudes and actions as we live out our daily lives and relate to others while living self-controlled and sober minded lives. Through Christ Jesus we pray. Amen.
