Wednesday December 30, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-Friends build bridges of encouragement and hope-
2-When the heart is right, the feet are swift-
3-Cursing at the darkness does not make it light-
4-If we want to see before we believe we will never see-
5-Don't let the urgent take the place of the important-

STRANGE THOUGHT-There is nothing as powerful as the truth and often nothing as strange-

I'VE LEARNED-Suicide doesn't take away the pain, it just gives it to someone else-

DID YOU KNOW-The estimated number of M&Ms sold each day in the US is two hundred million-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW-
1-How old was Adam and Eve when they died and who died first.  What happened to their bodies?
2-Had Adam and Eve had intimate relations prior to their fall?
3-If Eden was in Iraq, how long did it take before it was barren land?
4-How far from Eden did Adam and Eve live with their families?
5-Was Eden totally destroyed covered up by layers of sand, did God make it vanish or did it just decay over thousands of years?

BIBLE TRIVIA-This new testament passage comes from what old testament book-"I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them"?      Acts 7.34
Answer for today   Exodus 3:7

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY   Luke 19:41-44
41 As Jesus came near Jerusalem, he saw the city and cried for it, 42 saying, “I wish you knew today what would bring you peace. But now it is hidden from you. 43 The time is coming when your enemies will build a wall around you and will hold you in on all sides. 44 They will destroy you and all your people, and not one stone will be left on another. All this will happen because you did not recognize the time when God came to save you.”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we want to praise You “from the first bright light of morning to the last warm glow of dusk” as the old hymn says. Every breath that we take is sacred, for it is Your gift to us. In the season of our plenty and in the season of our want we find Your grace sufficient, for we find Your love complete. Safe within Your hand You guide us, hiding us in Your healing wings. Day by day Your love provides us every good and perfect thing. We thank You for it all. Amen.

LIVE SIMPLY! LOVE GENEROUSLY! CARE DEEPLY! SPEAK KINDLY! LEAVE THE REST WITH GOD!
