Saturday December 5, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-God of second chances and new beginnings, here I come again!!
2-God's promises are new every morning because we mess up everyday-
3-Faith makes things possible, not necessarily easy-
4-Through all of the changes life brings, God will never let go of your hand-
5-God has plans for my day and a purpose for my future-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Life is short so smile while you still have all of your teeth-

I'VE LEARNED-Stand up for your principles, even if you have to stand alone-

DID YOU KNOW-In Turkey in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, anyone caught drinking coffee was put to death-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Do our prayers bear fruit for generations?
2-What would happen if you would focus your prayers on one thing, or one person for one month?
3-Can we have contact with God all the time?
4-Will Christianity ever have another reformation or has it already had one?
5-Can God ever be surprised?

BIBLE TRIVIA-This new testament passage is from what old testament book-"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor"     Luke 4:18
Answer for today      Isaiah 61:1

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY    Luke 17:11-13
11 While Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem, he was going through the area between Samaria and Galilee. 12 As he came into a small town, ten men who had a skin disease met him there. They did not come close to Jesus 13 but called to him, “Jesus! Master! Have mercy on us!”

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying manFather, we seek to be alert and sober-minded in this generation where messages come from every direction seeking to confuse, delude, and undermine that which we learn from Your holy Scriptures. Instead of feeling despair help us to see it as a challenge to more deeply embrace and live the ancient Holy Word. Its truth does not change according to the whim of society. We resolve not to interpret Scripture in light of our generation, but instead we interpret our generation in light of Scripture, clearly defining right and wrong, good and bad as taught in Scripture not in the “scholarly” academia of our time. We must keep our head in all situations on a personal level as well as that which affects our society at large. We desire a clear mind, trusting spirit, and a steady aim at following You no matter the cost. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

TODAY WILL NEVER COME AGAIN. BE A BESSING, BE A FRIEND, ENCOURAGE SOMEONE, TAKE TIME TO CARE. LET YOUR WORDS AND ACTIONS HEAL AND NOT WOUND-
