Tuesday December 1, 2015 thought for the day

HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
1-It is the desires of your heart that motivate you-
2-Young David had to go into battle in order to get the victory-
3-There is no battle that God has entered that he has not won-
4-The world wants to see how the Christian handles crises-
5- We need to ask "What does God want for me," not "what does my heart want"-

STRANGE THOUGHT-Archaeologists never discover anything new-

I'VE LEARNED-Become the world's most trusted friend-

DID YOU KNOW-When coffee seed is planted, it takes five years to yield consumable beans-

5 THINGS I WANT TO KNOW
1-Was the original church a disciplined church?
2-Do today's Christians know what it means to carry their cross?
3-What part does obedience play in salvation?
4-Can a "saved" person ever be "lost"?
5-What are the treasures we are to lay up in heaven?

BIBLE TRIVIA-This new testament passage is from what old testament book-"Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low?"  Luke 3:5
Answer for today     Isaiah 40:3-4

SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY      Luke 17:1-3
17 Jesus said to his followers, “Things that cause people to sin will happen, but how terrible for the person who causes them to happen! It would be better for you to be thrown into the sea with a large stone around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to sin. So be careful!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Praying man Father, we lift up in prayer our loved ones who have yet to bow their knees and confess with their tongue that Jesus Christ is Lord. We never give up believing that someday they will come to faith through Christ Jesus. At the same time we pray for ourselves that You would make us pliable and yielding to Your touch which can happen only as we open our hearts to You. We want to be like clay in the hand of the potter and receptive to Your Spirit’s working. The process can be painful as impurities are removed and reshaping goes against the gravity of our sin nature. But the end result makes us vessels fitting for Your honor, useful for Your kingdom, and exemplary as a believer to those we are praying for. We desire to glorify You today as our hearts are open to Your Spirit.  Amen.

I WISH YOU A DAY FILLED WITH LOVE, LAUGHTER, FORGIVENESS AND THANKSGIVING-
